another headphone question :-)

My studio is very modest - and I'm running out of headphones for the players.
My favourite for rejection is the AKG K279, I also use K240, but they are more open and I risk picking up track, especially click. In emergency I use Hi-Fi 'phones but they also have poor rejection.

Knowing of my shortage, these lovely people sometimes bring their own - but the sound quality is uniformly dreadful.

Recommendations for a good workhorse set of cans for those standing at the mike?

Bear in mind I'm uk-based so some models might be hard to source.

I don't know an AKG K279, do you mean the K271?
K 271 is what I would suggest. Austrian product made in China (sigh).
