Logic Pro 8 Automation event list

I open a new song record some MIDI notes, draw some automation of various kinds and then control command E and nothing happens, I checked the key commands and this is what is assigned to this function, but it just doesn't do anything. Is there any other special settings I may have missed?
I have accidentally opened the Automation event list and arrange page automation, but have no idea how I did it.

What type of automation are you entering? Because the automation event list only pertains to track based automation, not region based automation (hyperdraw). If you are using hyperdraw then that would explain why that command wouldn't open the automation event list.

It is track based automation, I resolved the issue by assigning another key command, now it works just fine. Thanks so much for your reply Eli!
