Logic 9 batch exporting transient regions of loops

Hi All. I am currently chopping loops into sections using transient editor in sample window, then converting the results into an EXS24 instrument. A very quick and useful feature.

EXS seems to achieve this in a clever, memory saving way by using the orginal source sample for every zone, just changing the start and end time in each case.

I'd like to know if there's a way that I can export individual WAV files for each transient section- I want to use the samples individually in other Sample Players, such as I-Drum and Battery 3.

Any ideas. I've been fiddling for hours but can't seem to do it without exporting each segment individually. ( snore )

    Thanks,

    NHW

I'm not certain, but perhaps Redmatica's Keymap application has that ability. I own it, but have not really used it...

If you are unfamiliar with Redmatica, they are worth looking into.

No prob. You can do this easily, you're just looking in the wrong place :))

If you are using the transient detection feature in the Sample Edit Window and like the way you have things set up there, go back to the Arrange Window and turn on Flex View on the track that contains the main region. Set it to slicing mode. Once in Flex View, control click on the region and choose "slice at transient markers" from the contextual menu. Once they are in slices, select them all, and choose "convert regions to new audio files" from the arrange Window audio menu.

If you want to use your samples in Battery, you don't even have to do any conversions, as Battery is able to load EXS patches.
