Hopefully this isn't a dumb question... I'm new to Logic...

What's the easiest way to create a template from an existing session, minus any audio files used in the session? And then, can I add that template to the template page Logic pops up when I select "NEW"? Can I add a collection of my own custom templates to the Collection list?

Delete references to audio files in the bin (don't actually delete them from the hard drive!)

so just select all in audio bin and hit backspace.

Delete all midi regions in arrange.

Delete any automation, markers, notes etc that are pertinant to that project only.

Then save as template (you might as well also delete history)

Oh, geez. That was too easy. Thanks!

Also, delete your undo list before saving as template.

And check the sends, pans, volumes, mutes etc. Just leave what should be in any new song. It is annoying to reset 30 channelstrips everytime you start a new project.
