Delete Midi Volume Automation?

Hello all, and please bear with me during my newbie post :)

So I am importing some midi tracks into Logic X. I noticed that their volume resets to max everytime the playhead goes to zero. Removed all the midi controller volume events...but the problem persisted.

Eventually I found the problem in the Midi volume automation in the Piano Roll. I can drawm, add and remove points there, but I cannot simply remove the yellow line completely (see above) and have no midi volume controls whatsoever, which is ultimately my goal.

    Any pointers are appreciated!

The yellow line is normal and shows that the volume level is at 80. To hide it from the piano roll editor, simply disengage the MIDI Draw button (next to the View menu). To controle the volume, use the fader on the corresponding channelstrip or the lateral slider on the track header.
