Focusrite Clarett 4Pre

Looking to replace my long-serving MOTU 828 which has fallen victim to the mic pre failing, I've been impressed by the Clarett. I don't need lots of in and outs but I like the low latency offered by the Thunderbolt connectivity.
Anyone else used this i/f? And is the "AIR" function just top-end eq?

Not sure, but it's an ok alternative as a preamp sound. Ask focusrite, they are a fairly transparent bunch(pun intended).
