I am trying to do something very simple. I'm following the tutorial that I paid for to set up program changes on the axiom to go from one program to the next in Mainstage using the + - buttons on the Axiom for sets and the Zone 1 and 2 for program changes. I can't seem to get the Mainstage to "learn" those controls in the layout section. It's making me crazy angry. I've tried the press/release deal and still no joy. Anyone?

What does the Axiom send when you press the +/- buttons?
If you don't see it clearly in Mainstage, install MidiMonitor. This is a good idea anyway when you deal with MIDI.

Mainstage Cannot Make the Axiom "Learn"! Anyone Using It?
Hi, Peter. Thanks for responding. I downloaded Midi Monitor and hit the 4 buttons I've been trying to assign to set change +- and patch change -+. Below are the messages the Axiom is sending. I've got the Axiom manual now and I am reading it. I think it's got something to do with the presets in the Axiom. I'm trying to figure out how to bypass or disable them. If you or anyone else on the list is using an Axiom successfully in some capacity in Logic or Mainstage beyond simply entering midi info to sequences, I would appreciate any suggestions or input.

Set the preferences of MidiMonitor to display decimal values instead of the names, this makes the output easier to read. And make a longer pause between your button presses to let us see what belongs to one button.
The bank changes should not bother Mainstage. I see that you get at least Program Change 0 and 1. If you manage to get higher values the patch change in Mainstage should be possible.
As a test, press the + button several times with pauses in between. If the program change number goes up, everything should be ok. If not, you cannot use those buttons to change patches in Mainstage.
Maybe the manual tells you how to send Program Changes to other devices. This is a common feature of MIDI controllers.

Can anyone help me with this problem?
I am having a problem getting either the Axiom or Mainstage to remember learn/mapping. And I'm using USB not a midi cable. Every time I open MS I have to go through the Learn mode again.
