Interface query

Hi all, noob first post.

It would seem to be desirable to be able, when applying multiple
audio sources to an interface, to be actually recording each
to it's own track in Logic for subsequent mixing with effects.

Perhaps I've missed this but the reviews or adverts don't actually SAY that!

Please excuse me if I've missed the point ;o)

Really enjoying the forums and the wisdom offered
by the more advanced members of the group.

Regards from Scotland,

Steve.

Hi Steve,

I'm not quite sure what your question is exactly. If you are asking "is it advisable to get an interface with lots of I/O so that I can plug in lots of external sources into discreet inputs and then record them all at once on unique tracks in Log?", then the answer is YES! :D

The number of inputs is related to the number of instruments you need to record simultaneously, so whether you need lots or enough is the issue. It's worth getting a couple more than you expect though/. E.G you might think you only need two as a singer/guitarist until you decide to record your guitar in stereo or have another singer sing along with you etc.
