Is there a key command to select the track type (Audio, Instrument, etc.) and format (Mono, stereo, etc.) from the New Track dialog?

I've gotten used to doing that in Pro Tools and now it's annoying me that I can't do it in Logic!

I'm not aware of anything in Logic like you're looking for.

Thanks Doug, although this is the answer I feared!

Time to make a feature request.

You might want to try using the Apple application Automator, although it is rather flaky...

I made a feature request to Apple already for adding the ability to create macro commands or scripts to alleviate this kind of limitation...
I am hoping that they will implement this in a near update.
This would be very useful when comes the time to do repetitive tasks (involving several clicks or data entry) on a large scale such as batch conversions of a patches library...

I am glad that I am not the only one to look forward the same kind of feature and will actually take the time to write them this request...
