I installed Snow Leopard onto a new hard drive and migrated Applications.
    Logic 8 won't start.
This morning I went into the Leopard Library of and copied files from the Application Support.
    That didn't work either.
The dongle is still plugged in.
    What am I missing?

One more question. Is Logic 9 64 bit? I am running out of memory.

Please provide some system details. If you were migrating from a PPC to an intel mac, this could be a cause of your problems, but without having any information about your computers, we are left to guesswork.

Please also note that moving logic pro from the applications folder on one mac to another falls a long way short of installing the program.

    kind regards

It was the same machine, an 8 core intel with 16 gb ram.
I used the Migration Assistant to move the applications between drives (one boots to 10.5, the other to 10.6).

I decided to reinstall Studio 8.
