I'M HAVE AN ISSUE GETTING THE INPUT CHANNELS TO WORK IN MAINSTAGE.

THEY WORK PERFECTLY IN RECORD MODE IN LOGIC.

THEY WERE WORKING FINE BU NOW NOTHING.

    PLAYBACK WORKS

    PINK NOISE WORKS

JUST NOTHING FROM THE MIC CHANNELS.

    MIC AND CABLE ARE FINE.

I'VE REBOOTED. STILL THEY ONLY WORK IN LOGIC.

AUDIO PREFERENCES ARE SET TO THE SAME PRESONUS.

LOGIC IS OFF WHEN TESTING MAINSTAGE.

    THANKS FOR THE HELP

    TOM

  4. It's always cool to post the solution, even the most basic or an oversight, in case someone else has the same trouble and a search engine leads them here.

And it would be awesome if Caps Lock is an emergency input mute in MainStage (but I'm guessing not).

    One other thing Wasteband,

All caps is considered yelling when posting to groups and forums, and is considered bad etiquette. Please use regular lowercase lettering when communicating, you will usually get a better reply when looking for information and help.

That said, welcome to the LUG.

input channel not working in mainstage

First, my apologize for all the caps in my original post. I'm not much of a typist and the shift key doesn't quite fit the position of my hands, slightly tilted to the left closer to the escape key, probably from years of guitar playing or just just bad habits on the computer.

As far the "fix" on my input channel in Mainstage, I added a new track to the project and it seemed to work fine, so, something somewhere must have gotten, "unattached" in the software. so i deleted my original 8 channels and rebuilt the channel strips. And after lots of "reconnecting the dots" as they say, it all works fine again. Not mush of a solution to a problem but a fix.

Thanks for the feed back and it's good to know people are listening.

    With that said,

I'm preparing my computer and Mainstage to be my "all in one set up" for my current musical diversion:

    "THE ELASTIC WASTE BAND".

A duo with an old high school friend I reconnected with from San Antonio a few months ago. Back then we played in CSNY cover band and decided it would be fun to do another band but keep it simple. I've been playing around DFW for a few years now but this is my Grand Finale so to say.

All that said, I will have lots of questions and concerns before my first venture out with Mainstage.

My first and foremost concern is the inability to actually "sequence or automate" the show with only Mainstage.

I would like to add an LED light show to the mix, but the closet I've come to finding a solution is ENTECK's DMXIS USB unit.

I would rather not have to run Logic in the back ground to sequence the light show, and since I already have to use a foot controller to scroll through the patch changes to change effects and guitar presets, I assume i should be able to cue the DMX Software by doing the same.

It was the ENTTEK support people that pointed me to this user forum for this very reason, my "non-functioning"input channel was just a glitch on the road to my master plan.

I will post that in another Thread so as not to confuse it with this one.

    Thanks again,

    Tom P
