I record my drumming into Logic via MIDI, only to discover that when I play it back, I'm hearing ride cymbals and what-not where I ought to be hearing my snare and bass drums (and, yes, what-not). I have also tried recording my performance into an External MIDI track, then copying that track to a Drummer track, but with the identical result. My goal is to make it sound as though I'm playing one of the kits supplied with Logic.

If it's any help, I do see this error message in the latter case: "INST USB2.0-MIDI Port 1 sends to a MIDI port named 'Port 1" of MIDI interface USB2.0-MIDI which no longer exists." That may as well be in Urdu, though, brave and resourceful as I am, I have tried changing the MIDI port in both the original, External MIDI, and destination, Drummer, tracks. To no avail!
