In the Key Commands Menu there are some commands related to vertical waveform zoom.

    "Waveform Vertical Zoom x 2" e.t.c.

I've tried to assign these to keys but they don't seem to work.
The waveform zoom found at the right bottom of the arrange window works though (but there's no key command for it).

    Can anyone confirm this?

I don't use them so I assigned a key command to the x2 and tried it, and nothing happened. I tried it a few more times, and it now works every time. Not sure what I did to make it work, but I tried selecting and deselecting regions, and playing with the waveform zoom slider. Switched to different song, worked the first time there.....

Now I got it working too.

I do believe the waveform zoom button at the right bottom of the arrange window has to be active and it also seems like i need to assign at least two zoom levels to key commands to toggle between them.

Or simply use: Waveform Vertical Zoom In/Out. These commands can activate (or de-activate) waveform zoom if required (or necessary). BTW, default assignments in Logic 9: Ctrl-Option +/–.
