Can I load my own samples and have different velocities for those samples?
for example can I load 4 different drum hits from soft to loud and then assign them to different velocities so that if i hit a key on the keyboard harder the hard sample will play but if I hit the same key on the keyboard the soft sample will play.

You might be better off doing this in the EXS 24. You will have more flexibility.

No ultrabeat will not do that, single sample per slot. You can create a filter that responds to velocity (opens the harder you hit the keys).

But you can't do multi sample per slots.

    Actually there is a way.

You set up the velocity layers you would want in exs24 and save that as an exs instrument then use the exes import feature in ultrabeat to add the velocity switched Samples into the ultrabeat setup.

While UB can't setup velocity switching it will playback vs set ups imported from exes instruments.
