Logic 8 saving as a midi file?

I'm doing a project for someone on logic pro 8 and they want the files themselves to be saved in midi format. Is this even possible? I notice that when logic saves it, its in an aiff format or i can make it into a wav format or even bounce it to an mp3, but i can't seem to save it to a midi format.

I don't even like to save anything as a midi format since instruments i've always played back in midi format have sounded "not real" but this man wants his files in midi for some reason. If logic can't do it, is there a way to take my saved files and convert them to midi? All the recordings i'm working off of for this are using software instruments, so i'm not using any audio recordings for this because i know that would never work at all.

Thanks for your tips and help.
