There are no settings in Logic as you can just drag windows where you want, I don't think this is a Logic issue. As long as you have set your monitors so they are different, ie not an exact copy of each other, you should be able to open a window and size it to fit one screen, then open another window and drag it to the other screen. Then save the screenset.

First check that you can actually move your mouse pointer from one screen to the next.

    dragging logic mixer

    Hi Pete,

Thanks for the reply, i have tried this but logic will not let me drag the mixer out of the logic boundry, i have my screens setup correct and not as a copy of the first screen,

    am i doing something wrong?

    Thanks, Andy.

Have you tried to extend the "logic boundary" to cover both screens? AFAIR, with LAW you cannot drag any element in Logic outside of this boundary. I think that is just a difference between MS Windows and OSX.

    kind regards

    Working

    Hey guys,

Thanks for the help, i now have it all working, the mixer on one monitor and the arrange page on the other monitor, this is gonna make working so much easier in logic. :)

Thanks again and all the best.

    Andy.

    Dual-screen setup

Hi Outerboy. Good for you. Now please share how you did this. I ask, because I have dual screens as well, and found that only the Transport and Audio Factory applets can be moved to the other monitor... none of the other windows will move over. Thanks.

With Logic up, you have to change the main Logic window from full screen to a resizable window. It should actually get a little smaller when you do that. You do that by clicking on one of the three icons near the red "X" that will close a program or window. Then you stretch the main Logic window across both screens, and proceed to place the arrange, mix, environment, event windows wherever you want, stretching them to fit as you go.
