Logic 9 Transpose function to create harmonies

    Hello everyone.
I am using the transpose function in piano roll to take a melody and create a harmony part. It works fairly well and is a huge time saver, yet some notes still need to be adjusted by hand (usually B-C, E-F) because there are no semitones between them. Is there a way to take that into account in the transpose window?
    Thanks a bunch.

You could set up a chord memorizer object in the Environment to remap the specific notes you mention.

And FTR, in Logic Pro X, there is a new scale quantize feature in the Piano Roll that sounds like it might be very useful for your intended workflow.

Thanks for the response! I shall look into the chord memorizer; I have never used it.
I've been holding off buying a new machine for way too long, and the new features of Logic X may be just the thing to push me over the edge.
