Logic Pro 9 Triggering External Sequencer

Let me preface this by saying I am pretty new to MIDI stuff so I'm still in the midst of the learning curve. Anyways so I have a Korg Poly 800 synth which has a built in step sequencer, according to the manual it is possible to control it via MIDI. I would like to sync the tempo and be able to trigger the sequence in Logic.

I know the basics of external MIDI tracks in Logic and I figured out how to trigger regular notes on the synth but I have no idea how I would go about triggering its step sequencer. If someone could tell me how to do this that would be awesome.

Thanks!

In Logic's Help menu, go to Logic Pro Help> Logic 9: User Manual.
Look over the chapter "Synchronizing Logic Pro".

You'll also need to look in the Korg manual on whether is can be master? slave? or either?
