Logic Pro (X) Loops not sounding at output

Cannot make wav loops sound .
Opened audio tracks, dragged wav drum loop to strip (blue..not midi), and it plays, ie. channel strip volume jumps, but nothing at output. I think something in bus routing , but cannot figure.
Loops sound when mouse held over for auditing.

Another irritating thing. In edit mode, a small dialog box pops up directly in front of note being edited.,showing position, length etc. It’s in the way……. How to turn this off ?

Settings->view->untick show help tags

Got it, thx . But, helpful hint: There is no: settings/view. (looked all over),
But prefs/display/general/windows, Show help tags.

Yea, sorry to be "snippy". My LPX is old. 10.2.4. Latest that my cranky old comp can handle.
I'm finding a lot of obscure directives are different from updated versions, Same with Sebilious.
thx for help. ......got the irritating dialog boxes turned off.

Still cannot figure out why wav loop files not sounding. That's a project for this weekend.
the whole bus routing issue is somewhat a mystery. Gotta spend time with the manual.
Even Rothermich's incredible "How it works" book doesn't address.....or maybe it does.
Gotta search.
