Newby Question regarding Which Mac

Hello All

Just joined today and I have a question.

I used to use Logic on the PC but when it moved to Apple only,I couldn't afford to switch.

However no I find myself able to return to Logic, and I was wondering which Mac would be most suitable.

I want an iMac,not a Laptop but will the base model 21.5" £999 be sufficient,or would the 27" £1399 model be better?

Plenty more questions but that will do for now.

I do not have a Mac and have never owned one so this is completely new to me.
I use DAW's on my PC,so I know how they work.

Thanks

Alan

Thanks gdoubleyou,I followed the link, test results are very good, more than enough for my needs.

I am waiting to see if an upgraded iMac comes out in July,if not I will buy current model.

Any Core i5 model or higher is more than enough to run Logic.

If you are low in cash, my advice is waiting until new models are out and getting a refurbished instead.

Pleased to say cash is not a problem.I was looking at getting the 27" £1399,but I am waiting to see if the newer models are released soon.

Maybe a 21.5 " with an external HDD would also be a consideration.

All this waiting around is very frustrating,it's time I could be using on Logic.

I have been following latest Apple news and rumors and it seems new iMacs will be released before October.

Yes,hopefully at the same time as Mountain Lion, which is supposedly this month?

If not,how long to wait is going to be the problem.
